true, or a way to preview specific albums before decisions about purchasing (which is my primary use of Spotify and why Pandora doesn't work for me in that way). I still believe in building my own collection without relying on "rented" music. I've seen too many artists/albums available for streaming that then disappear from the streaming service. I do like the added benefit of Spotify that on my iphone/ipad/computer when I'm away from home, I have lots of things to listen to without bothering with bringing songs from my collection with me or somehow connecting back over the internet to my home music server. I wouldn't pay the $9.99 a month just for that part however. It's the previewing new music that I pay for. *Location 1:* VortexBox 4TB (2.2) > LMS 7.8 > Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Location 2:* VBA 3TB (2.2) > LMS 7.8 > Touch > Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Office:* Win7(64) > LMS 7.8 > SqueezePlay *Spares:* VBA 4TB, SB3, Touch (3), Radio (3), CONTROLLER *Controllers:* iPhone4S & iPad2 (iPeng7 & Squeezepad), CONTROLLER, or SqueezePlay 7.8 on Win7(64) laptop Ripping (FLAC) - dbpoweramp, Tagging - mp3tag, Streaming - Spotify ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101226 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
