Just keep in mind that Squeeze on Arch is currently in an early stage
and it's likely going to get significantly more user friendly before
it's finished. The initial installation is currently a bit more
complicated than Community Squeeze was, but this is partly because
Triode currently want to avoid distributing SD card images to minimise
the risk of getting into similar legal troubles as the previous
Community Squeeze project. The future will tell if we eventually can
reach a stage where we also have some hardware which can come with
Squeeze on Arch more or less pre-installed.
As with all community projects, it's important to understand that almost
everyone(probably all) involved are working in the project on their
spare time, due to this I think we should be realistic and accept that
it's going to take a bit of time. For people who are in a hurry and
can't wait, there is always Sonos and similar solutions available
already today.
If you are referring to the hardware part, my feeling is that
JohnSwenson and Triode are investigating what the best path forward is
going to be to avoid similar legal/liability issues as those which hit
the previous (now dead) Community Squeeze project. Typically these kind
of things can take a bit of time to arrange.
