FWIW: I wasn't able to reproduce the issue. Started OS, browsed albums
and saw the requests on LMS. I then force-quit the app, restarted. And
no requests where sent to the server when I started browsing the albums
list.
With my MusicArtistInfo plugin enabled I saw the same behaviour in the
artists menu: first time it would request the artist artwork. Second
time it doesnt.
Without the plugin it wouldn't even request the album covers to create
the artist images if I was previously browsing albums (thus caching
album covers).
db122 - you could speed up image delivery by telling the server to
pre-cache artwork in the size you want. See the CLI documentation
(http://yourserver:9000/html/docs/cli-api.html#artworkspec).
Unfortunately you're using different definitions for album artwork and
other artwork:
album: music/bd43888e/cover_232xX_F.jpg
others: imageproxy/mai/artist/192/image_232x232.png
If you used 232x232.png for all of them then LMS 7.8+ and
MusicArtistInfo would pre-cache all the artwork you'll need, speeding up
first time delivery considerably.
