That's the thing about the Squeezebox structure.Its way ahead of others in terms of active support, plug ins, continuous development and reliability. It's also dependent on what your Squeezebox is attached to. With EDO and a quality usb Dac it can challnge even an Aries. I have listened to a Vortexbox attached to a good quality Dac and the differences between that and an Aurender W20 were so negligible that a change wasn't possible. What Ive found is that a well set up Squeezebox network can very easily challenge and sometimes match the super streamers of today. I love this system and the very clever accessories that have built up around it. And I'm now listening to the higher quality BBC R3 stream as I write this.
