ok. so i took all of the advice i received here nd found something out. it is not the dac but rather the gaps only appeared when i had the SBT set to digital only in the audio settings. i'm using a digital coax out now and with the settings set to digital/analog out on the SBT i'm not getting any gaps. any thoughts? sorry if i was being obstinate/lazy before.
