Thanks guys for your input, my setup is as follows, 2 x rpi2
1x rpi3 Mostly FLAC files being served from a FREENAS box, which is also a wired connection Two are wired and one is wifi, the problem is not really about sync, I am able to sync them all eventually its more that sometimes I find the two with external DAC's just don't seem to play anything without being restarted, but normally once restarted they work fine. I'm just about to go home and try tonight.
