Dang ... still not solved. I took the SB3 apart as per the instructions and inspected the boards. None of the piggy-back boards have come loose, all connectors are good, all capacitors look fine, no visible problems anywhere. So it's not some obviously-bad component.
I removed the wifi board and assembled the SB3 again, hooked it into my LAN, and let it play. After a few minutes, it rebooted. So it's not a faulty wifi board either. My Internet research showed though that this is indeed a very common problem, and the replacement card must be model "Atheros AR5BMB5" which is luckily still available online (Amazon, Ebay). Can it be a faulty capacitor on the main board? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ TorbenGB's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4443 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106765 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
