This device from Belkin
(http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=178491)
would appear to work on Cable. I am on NTL as well and am also keen for
a higher throughput network.

My understanding is that with a MIMO network b and g devices can
connect with no loss of speed for the other devices connecting at
higher speeds. Is this correct as this would be critical to it being
useful for me.
