Thanks@bpa I have checked the cable, which has been in place for a couple of years and it did not work. Tried another one and the cable works as I tested though no sign of the unit showing any twinkle of live. By the way, I know why it felt warm the other day. It was on top of another warm item. I have read your links below and I need to re-read. I prefer to not getting into the box as I'm not good enough on the electronics. As I'm down-under the options of finding parts are not looking promising though I will give a try.
