We're enjoying the SB3, bout our normally fast system has been very sluggish lately. I'm trying to determine the source of the poor performance.
Since I'm in the process of importing my CD collection. I'm wondering if Slimserver is constantly trying to catch up to all the new tracks being imported. I don't see high CPU utilization, but performance of the whole system is sluggish. I see that there have been some performance enhancements in 6.2, should I try that? Here's some background. I have been importing my whole CD collection into iTunes. At this point we have about 4,000 songs loaded. (We have 3 iPods in the family, so iTunes is the logical choice.)
