Well in that case you have a bit of an issue. I
don't know how Palms work, but I assume they're
like my non-WiFi PocketPC: they require a USB
connection to the network through a PC and synch
software to handle the translation.

So unfortunately unless you can find a device that
can bridge Ethernet-USB, you won't be able to use
a wired PDA. Even if you find a bridge, the
device needs to be communicating with synch software.

Now I have heard mention of tablet PCs that have
built-in Ethernet ports. Someone mentioned an
older out-of-production one that can be bought
very cheaply, something like $100 US on eBay.
These will have a much larger screen than a PDA.
I wish I could find where these cheap, older
tablets were mentioned. IIRC they run Windows CE.
I've been searching the forums with no success.
It has some sort of "high tech" marketing name,
like "eToy" or something, hopefully someone
remembers it. I recall googling it and coming
across a few enthusiast's sites. Argh, it's
driving me nuts that I can't find it! :-(

Again, the only software required is a web
browser. If you can see a web page, you can see
SlimServer.
