In an effort to track down a problem I am having with the
last.fm plugin (which otherwise works wonderfully, no intent to
disparage there), I apt-got the latest slimserver package from
        the debian.slimdevices.com repository this afternoon.

Upon restarting, the server chews up a LOT of CPU time (almost
as though it's reindexing), but it's completely irresponsive. I
have nothing in the log (my last lines are from moments before
restarting it). Nothing in dmesg/messages. No indications of
what it's doing or why it's failing.

Has anyone else seen this problem? Any suggestions, no matter
        how trivial?

        Running Ubuntu.

        Thanks in advance.
