SlimPeople: imo this whole thread should be nuked - it's an
embarrassment to Slim and to it's user community, not because one use
is having a problem he can't sort out (which frankly I'm less and less
inclined even to believe), but because this guy is far from
representative of your average customer.
This forum is rife with 'not your average user', good and bad. The
thread is tedious, but I wouldn't say it was embarassing at all (well,
not for Slim at least). Every effort is being made, and there is only
one participant being truly abusive here.
I'll now add one more suggestion:
try the factory reset of the squeezeboxen. Given the firmware update
funniness and now even reverting to 6.2.1 still being a problem, clean
slate is a good place to start. I'll back the suggestion to reset
routers, switches, aps etc just to be sure. Letting the electrons
rest for a moment is never a bad idea.
As for how to do a factory reset:
1) unplug the squeezebox
2) wait 5-10 seconds
3) plug it back in
4) press and hold ADD button while it start up, and wait for it to reset.
Now, I'll go away and let this run its course. I'm confident that KP
and the support staff will be on this and deal with it appropriately.
