OK, this is all twilight-zone esque. After posting the above I upgraded (again) to 6.2.2 because the build I am on apparently was not the latest (release) version.
And now I'm having the *SAME* problem that the muffin man is having. My Squeezebox 2 says the normal "press and hold brightness" bit and when I do the display simply blinks off and the box reboots itself and comes back to the same update firmware screen after accessing the LAN. I never see the progress bar indicating that the SB is upgrading itself. I was on Linux build 6.2.2-6245 and just re-upgraded to the final release after realizing I hadn't upgraded successfully. Slimserver is starting up just fine and now shows that it is 7135 but the SB won't upgrade. Tailing the log file shows [EMAIL PROTECTED] slimserver]# ./slimserver.pl --logfile /var/log/slim.out --d_firmware& [1] 3039 [EMAIL PROTECTED] slimserver]# service slimserver status slimserver.pl (pid 3039) is running... [EMAIL PROTECTED] slimserver]# tail -f /var/log/slim.out 2006-04-28 17:12:07.7405 squeezebox2 v. 33 requires upgrade to 48 And that's it. No matter how many times I try to upgrade this is all I see from the logfile output. -- jmpage2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jmpage2's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=41 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=23389 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
