template toolkit caches the html. If you run as one user, then another with the same cache folder then teh web dies due to permissions problems. Look in the prefs file for cachedir. then find the folder "templates" in teh cachedir. Delete that and try starting the service again. Even better, start the service with --d_http added to the command line that it uses for starting slimserver.pl and check the log.
