Yes, I pointed it to http://192.168.11.5:9000/handheld.(which is where my slimserver resides). The other Pc's at home find this no problem, but the HTC prompts me to check my settings.
But internet access otherwise does work? Do you have another local web server you could try to connect to?
You're correct about the Orange model number, mine is the t-mobile variant.
Is this the model with integrated keyboard and landscape/portrait switchable screen?
I just looked at your slimremote; have you tried it on one these, or something similar?
I don't have any PocketPC device, but most of the SlimRemote users seem to be using it on some of the PocketPC version (besides Windows XP). I initially started developpment for my Zaurus (Linux). It should work, though there are still problems with some users' installations. And it won't work with the smaller screen mode Smartphone edition.
