I've said this on a different forum but essentially this is not a bug
that we should be 'voting' for. If basic functionality advertised on
the product page is broken then it should have the highest priority in
the fix list.
AFAIC voting should only apply to wishlist features and very minor
bugs.
Well please, say it again on another forum. Better yet, file a bug report and vote for it.
