That's what makes the Harmony remotes special - it tracks the state of each component and switches them on and off as needed, whether or not you have discreet codes. So if I go from Watch TV to Watch DVD it knows to switch the cable box off and the DVD player on, and flip the inputs on the video switcher and amp. I don't have discreet codes for any of those actions, but it knows what to do - and that's without me programming any macros.
