That's pretty nice. But it seems to me that all you really needed was to remove the stand and use those holes to bolt the Squeezebox directly into the wall, with a hole cut out of the wall to accomodate the rear connectors.
The face plate isn't really necessary, as the hole is covered by the Squeezebox. The shallow junction box would probably interfere with many RCA plugs and force you to use 90 degree plug adapters, whereas having no junction box would give you the entire depth of the wall cavity for making connections. Your method is a bit more finished, say if you commonly need to remove the Squeezebox.
