I had a similar-type device (Linksys WMA11B, iirc) that used the TV is a
display to select music. It worked ok for some things, but I didn't really
see the need nor want to have the TV on all the time just to listen to
music. In my application, this device was in the gym, and I espescially
didn't like the constant glow of the TV screen on while I was running on the
treadmill in an otherwise-dark room. The Squeezebox display works great,
there's really no point to having a TV on it's just redundant. Why turn on
one MORE power-hungry display device just to listen to music?

Besides, Squeezeboxes are media crack. Once you buy one, you'll buy more,
and you certainly don't want to buy TV sets in every room you want to listen
to music. I'd like to get rid of the TVs I have.
