Well, just a minute or 2 after moving the MP3 player the speakers went into standby. Having powered it all off and back on, then after playing some music powering the MP3 player on again the speakers are still live after 22 minutes.
It may well be that they take an hour to go into standby, which if it's consistent isn't a major deal - I can understand why a long delay was chosen, bound to be kinder on the electronics.
