Hate to say this, but I'm glad it's not just happening to me. I noticed this a while back and opened up a bug (4071). The good lads at slim server were looking into this, but I haven't seen anything happen in the last week or so.
The tags don't seem to present a problem on any other mp3 player, only slimserver. So, instead of trying one of the fixes to change any tag data I'd rather slimserver sort the problem out.
