Brian: Your situation sounds something like a problem I had recently. I had one album that SlimServer was showing with odd info, and it really had me stumped for a while. I removed and rewrote the tags multiple times with Media Center, but SS still had it wrong. Then I downloaded mp3tag and it was showing the correct info same as Media Center.
But then I went poking around in mp3tag options and noticed it is set NOT to show APE tags in mp3 files. I toggled the option to have it show APE tags for MP3s, and sure enough, there was all the same odd info that SlimServer was showing. So apparently SlimServer prefers APE tags to ID3 in MP3 files. I removed the APE tags with mp3tag, rewrote ID3 tags with Media Center, and then everything was hunky dory in my next SlimServer scan. It may be that MediaMonkey and DBPowerAMP maintain their own database and aren't showing the tag changes that you do in other programs. If so, there should be a command in there somewhere to make it re-read from the tags and update its database. -- MeSue Sue PS: I once wanted a Squeezebox boombox, but I don't anymore. ;-) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MeSue's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=985 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=27848 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
