This sounds fairly normal to me. My library of c. 6,000 songs took about 4 days. If a specific song is on the MM database it takes 10-20 seconds. If it can't find it, it analyses it from scratch, which should take about the length of the song, plus a bit. So if your tastes are esoteric, it can take a long time. 25 minutes does sound a lot, however - do you have a lot of classical stuff? If so, you might want to exclude classical and other genres you won't want in a mix (I used to get the odd children's song cropping up in a mix, which really spoiled the moment, so I filter those out). You can define these in File Exclusions.
