This sounds fairly normal to me. My library of c. 6,000 songs took about

Mine (about 7000 songs) almost a week :-)

esoteric, it can take a long time. 25 minutes does sound a lot,
however - do you have a lot of classical stuff? If so, you might want

MIP only analyzes the first 3 or 4 minutes of a song. I have "duplicates" which aren't in reality as one of them has a "hidden track" after a few minutes.

In my opinion all of this is really worth the wait - it will completely
change the way you listen to music, and you'll rediscover lost gems in
your collection.

I read a lot about MIP here in the forums and only took the plunge when someone wanted support in the Handheld skin. But only with the latest 1.7 I'm really happy (had problems with non-latin characters, leaving a third of my songs unrecognized). But now I really like it.

I'm always amazed by the mixes I get, speculating about the criteria used to do the mixes. A few days ago I created a 50 song mix based on an instrumental song by Air. During the first hour I only had two or three songs with lyrics in them.
