Maybe it's best to look at it this way: The slimp3 had a strong, but very narrow appeal. All of its successors have had wider appeal, without losing the strength of the appeal. So to people who fit within the narrow appeal of the original product, there is no advantage. To people who don't, there's a huge advantage--whether the innovation is huge or incremental is irrelevant. The new devices are no worse than the old in ANYONE's mind, and they are better in the minds of MANY. So, objectively, I think it's fair to say they're better. Requiring some world-changing innovation before giving a device any credit wouldn't give a whole lot of credit to many very fine-quality products. Sometimes it's implementing old ideas well for the first time that qualifies as innovation, in my mind. -- CatBus ------------------------------------------------------------------------ CatBus's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7461 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=28821 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
