After tracking down that my wireless is (suddenly) too slow to work without the lame solution, I've uncovered a new problem. Slim will not play AAC files with Russian characters in the song titles (possibly album titles, but I think it is just the song titles). MP3s are fine. Band names that are in cyrillic also appear fine.
These songs were working fine before the lame change. I have tried to look at the log file but may not have the right options turned on. I can see the following, that in attempting to parse the filename, it shows %DC type characters for the band name (indicating perhaps it recognizes this is a foreign charcter set?), but nonsense characters for the song name. Any ideas?
