The performance of software like Moose (I dont like it much because I
prefer to browse my music folders by directory) show that a frontend
that talks to the CLI interface can be pretty snappy. I figure a good
PHP frontend that talks to mysql and the server via the CLI could
already be built. I'd like to see one, so if anyone's looking for a
project...
OTOH there's no reason why the webserver couldn't be a standalone perl
script...
This thread, and others like it is pretty useless, and at best belongs
over on developers.
Discussion is never useless.
