Hrrm.... is the browser on the remote machine running some weird
plugins?  Some of the Firefox plugins and such can take quite a while
to process sometimes.  It sounds like Slimserver is delivering the page
in a timely manner but the remote machine is stopping to thing about it
for some reason.

I would suspect that or a firewall of some sort.
