Thanks Geraint & Eric for your most informative posts. It seems I have stumbled on the most suitable format for my present needs. I want the highest quality available when ripping from cd. So, Eric, do I set the itunes aiff ripping preference to 44000 instead of 48000? Another question... can slim server seamlessly span different disc drives, ie. if I had two or three external drives?
