In Win XP, within Windows Explorer you can map a network drive by
selecting Tools > Map Network drive.  I don't know OSX.

If you have your main SlimFolder on a WinXP machine, say in D:\Music,
putting a shortcut in this to E:\OtherMusic will mean it will be
scanned by SS.  This is just done by right-clicking E:\OtherMusic,
choosing 'Create Shortcut here' and moving this shortcut to the
D:\Music folder.  I don't think it's actually necessary to map a
network drive, but I'm not sure.

Sorry but I'm no help with OSX.  My last Mac had a 10Gig HD that was
bigger than my wife's whole computer!  Actually no, that was Meg...
