I know this thread was about the stylistic tablet, but this is still on topic for the thread title--
I know there's at least one person on the Slim forums with one of these...want to hear if there are any others, and specifically if they've a) used it as a slim remote and b) used the IR function as a remote for anything. http://pepperpad.com Here's what I'm thinking would be the bee's knees...a hybrid IR/Web Slimserver application that sends IR signals for things that require really instant feedback, and pulls other data over WiFi (cover art, etc.). The Pepper Pad, like the Nokia tablets, is a linux-based internet tablet. Difference here is that the Pepper Pad is x86 based, which means (I'd think) no porting of apps. I know it runs Firefox natively. Too bad it's $600, but for what it does that seems like about what it would cost... #!/ben -- bklaas "the Nokia770 skin guy" ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bklaas's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=31569 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
