I'm a big fan of powerline/homeplug. The only time I had a problem was when I built myself a new PC. I couldn't get my network connection back. AFter about a week of swearing and cursing I eventually discovered that the power supply in my new PC was the problem. I swapped the PSU and my homeplug stuff worked again.
