I have the same problem. My setup: Apple Ibook (OS X 10.3.9 - Slimserver 6.5.1 using iTuness library and playlists) with external Firewire disk -> Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router -> SB3 -> Beresford TC-7510 MkIII DAC -> Linn pream+amp -> loudspeakers.
