hey thanks a lot for that info. well,I downloaded gsplayer and opened URL http://(myIP):9000/stream.mp3 still not streaming. can u tell me what is meant to happen,I.e. is the gs player supposed to display a list of my albums etc.(in same way as the handheld skin) ?
also if I'm doing this remotely,what IP address do I put in,I mean where do I find this? I have seen an ip address at the foot of the slimserver page it says my IP is 80.192.83.158:31525 so for remote streaming do I then enter http://80.192.83.158:31525:9000/stream.mp3 ? or do I remove the 9000 ? I can however successfully connect to slimserver using GSplayer on my network,I.e. http://192.168.2.5:9000/stream.mp3 however can't play any songs although it does say connected to slimserver? sorry for ll the questions but pleased to get your input again.
