Stop! I went down this road last year. Trying to do it with Slimserver is a pain but there is a much better way and it gives you full control over whats being streamed...
Install an UPNP server on you PC, i recommend www.tversity.com and it free. Next get http://www.conduits.com/products/player/ It's not free, but its well worth the money and by far the best media player for Windows Mobile. You will probably need the UPNP plugin that can be found on the conduits site. Trust me, it just works and it's flipping brilliant.
