..but it seems unlikely to me. The server doesn't do much else whenever I'm not actually using it interactively...and I'm not when I'm using the SB. The server has been rebooted a few times in the past week but I haven't noticed any correlation in performance.
The other symptom of laziness is that the SB will sometimes just stop playing and go back to the stopped screensaver.
