Stereophile doesn't agree with you. They tested a Transporter and compared it to the editor's own setup of a SB3 plus a Musical Fidelity's X-DACV3. The editor preferred the Transporter over his personal setup: "Yes, the Transporter is worth the upgrade, even from an SB3 driving a high-end DAC.
