I use the Meridian F80 clock radio for my bedroom system and it is
fantastic.

I first thought I could save thousands with the universally raved
Audioengines.  But to my ears they were major letdowns.  I tried both
the AE 2 and 3 and they sounded boomy.  Mind you they were placed on
desktops but that's what they were designed for.

I then auditioned the F80 more for jokes due to their ridiculous price
for a clock radio. And surprisingly I took it home.  

I encourage fellow members to try out the F80.  You may be surprised by
the quality coming out of that little half moon
