I use the Meridian F80 clock radio for my bedroom system and it is fantastic.
I first thought I could save thousands with the universally raved Audioengines. But to my ears they were major letdowns. I tried both the AE 2 and 3 and they sounded boomy. Mind you they were placed on desktops but that's what they were designed for. I then auditioned the F80 more for jokes due to their ridiculous price for a clock radio. And surprisingly I took it home. I encourage fellow members to try out the F80. You may be surprised by the quality coming out of that little half moon -- agentsmith System 1: SB2, Pioneer DV-S733A, Benchmark DAC1, Naim Nait 2 (Sold 5i), Naim Ariva.
