After searching for the perfect companion amp for my Squeezeboxes (I have two version 3's) and my soon to be Duet, I've come to wonder if anyone here would be interested in seeing Slim Devices/Logitech release a companion amp for their own product? I mean, all most people seem to want is a medium-to-high powered amp that automagically turns on and off along with the Squeezebox, as well as offer some sort of basic tone control (bass and tone). All multimedia receivers are overkill, and most amps like the T-Amp and the popular ones by Audio Source are either too under-powered (T-Amp) or too big (Audio Source) and none possess basic tone control, making the control over bass and tone in your music a pain (anyone try finding a decent equalizer lately)? All I'm saying is, if Logitech/Slim would design and sell an amp that pushed at least 50 watts RMS per channel (preferably 75-100 watts per channel), had auto on/off, was a compact size and elegant in design like the Squeezeboxes, and just bass/tone control would be a massive bonus. It doesn't need to be audiophile grade, just a decent offering. I'd easily pay $200-$300 for something like that.
