I have an interesting problem and need help to solve it. My current setup is a laptop running Slimserver, a 5-port switch, and the Squeezebox 2. The music files are stored on a USB external drive. By itself, this all works very well.
Unfortunately, I get my internet service from a USB aircard from Sprint. When I activate the card, it says that it must shut down my other wired connection (to the switch). Obviously, this renders my Squeezebox inoperable as it has no connection to Slimserver. So the question is: Is there any way that I can connect/configure this system without using the switch?
