It doesn't matter if you buy today or in a couple of weeks. If there are hardware defects that made it through the beta test and into the final product it won't be just a matter of weeks until they're fixed. In today's appliances a lot of things can be controlled from firmware. Bugs in the firmware are far more likely than any undetected hardware bugs. A new product is always more prone to bugs than one that has been on the market for a long time. Simply because a long running product has had enough time to get all initial bugs detected and fixed.
