What i've always wondered; How can there be a difference in sound quality when I play a CD or play the same ripped CD using the Squeezebox in .flac format? When using analogue outputs I could reason this but in both cases digital outputs are used hence both devices using the same (receiver) DAC.
Since everything is digital up until the Receiver, why does the original CD have more 'body' and a little more detail?
