Yes it looks like Microsoft have been playing around with TCPIP again. They have also made some changes in the latest update to XP. I understand that for Windows Networking they are now insisting on a every packet being acknowledged before sending the next packet. This is causing havoc to companies that are trying to run Windows round the world.
I am currently running SlimServer 6.5.2 on Vista SP1 OK and for the record the virus scanner is AVG 7.5. Can't see why SC7 should be any more critical but if you had to do any registry hacks to get the Networking stable as I did with Vista then Microsoft have chosen to change some of the key names in SP1 so I had to make a change after upgrade. This wasn't a SlimServer problem, it's just that my ageing router doesn't appreciate Microsoft's TCPIP enhancements and doesn't always DHCP. -- MrStan ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MrStan's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1771 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=32578 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
