Mine has to be many thousands of hours listening to each hour of fiddling. I've bought three SqueezeBoxes, a Transporter and a Duet. I bought them to listen to music.
No plugins for me. But I do run a lot of beta software. Most of that doesn't need "fiddling" it either works or doesn't.
