Thanks for the prompt response.
I'm afraid that I have no information on the WMA standards used by the
BBC in their broadcast streams.  To explain a little further:  I am
using "Toal Recorder" to make background recordings of a WMA stream put
out by the BBC.  This is why I finish up with a WMA file.  Afraid there
is no alternative MP3 stream to record.
