1. I played one of the files in WMP and checked its properties. The audio codec field is blank.
2. The latest version of Total Recorder Pro has a new option - to capture internet streams in the background. This only works with wma streams. In my case I have setup a schedule to do so at the same time each weekday and hence capture each transmission in a series (in fact it's the weekday "Afternoon Play").
