Don't worry about what forums say about comparing and just do it if you feel the need. Logitech is very cool about comparing and it will just cost you freight. I don't know the Sonos but it was out of my league price wise at the time so after reading a lot about the SB I just dove in. I now think the sonos is probably very good for people that want the simplest way to do this without worries about sound and expansion. Kind of like Itunes and the ilk. Keep it simple and not a worry about customizing and adding cool features. I like the open source not because I can add to the talent but I can use the cool addons that talented people create. It's all in what you really want to have I believe.
