I am also experiencing the issue with library scanning coming back with all zeroes.
Platform: Vista Home Premium Library: Network share (z:\mp3) resides on a MyBook World Edition 1TB. Scanner.log *always* remains 0kb even though I see the scanner.exe process running and taking a substantial amount of memory. Have tried uninstall/reinstall several times with duplicate results, as well as disabling virus scan (Avast!) and ensuring windows firewall is has exceptions for 9092 (for MySQL) and 9000 for remote connections. Ideas? Advice? Recommendations? Liquor?
