If there are journal publications on the carpentries, may I suggest
creating a ScienceOpen collection and keeping the list of them there ?
The collection itself can get a DOI and you can assign curators to it.
(bonus : you can do post-publication peer review of the publications,
which themselves also get a DOI).

This can of course supplement a "carpentries.org/ack" page.
